Privacy and measurement boundariesWhat these numbers deliberately do—and do not—represent.

Bounce rateVisits with less than 10 seconds of recorded active time, divided by measured visits. Live visits may still become engaged. This is a time-based definition.

Comparable windowsChange compares the selected UTC calendar days with the preceding equal-length period. Today is incomplete. Missing historical instrumentation is not proof of no activity.

Sessions, not peopleA visit uses a random per-tab identifier that expires after inactivity. It is hashed before storage and cannot follow someone across browser sessions.

Coarse acquisition onlySources are grouped as direct, search, social, referral, internal, or explicit campaign. Full referrer URLs are never retained.

Short-lived working stateHashed session state is retained for 48 hours. Daily aggregate reporting is retained for up to 24 months.
